Drama

WALT apply the techniques of improvisation to a range of differentscenarios.

Improvisation TECHNIQUES that I have used successfully are, never say no.
Improvisation TECHNIQUES that I would like to have more practice at yes and.
The thing that I enjoyed most about this unit of learning was playing the games because they helped me be more confident.
The thing that I found most challenging during this unit of learning was drawing out characters that I didn't know because I had to ask what I should do.

My favourite improvisation game was party manic because it was fun coming up with what we were going to act out.
My next step/ something I need to work on further  in improvisation is getting up and acting more because I wasn't getting up if I didn't have to.

Maths

WALT: Communicate and interpret locations and directions, using compass directions, distances, and grid references.

Writing

WALT: write an information report on the waterway.

The water cycle is process that water goes through between land, sea and the atmosphere. The water is recycled throughout the the process. The water changes state throughout the process liquid, gas and solid. The steps in the water cycle are, evaporation, condensation, precipitation, runoff, groundwater and accumulation.

One of the steps is evaporation  and it aceers when the sun heats up and the water in the ocean, lakes and rivers turn into gas also known as vapour. It is an invisible process that changes frozen water and liquids into vapour. In warmer places or hotter days evaporation is greater. Vapour in the air is called humidity. After the water turns into a gas it floats up to the sky and forms into a cloud which is called condensation.

After evaporation is condensation, then precipitation and it happens when the clouds get too heavy it rains. Condensation happens because of the temperature changes and when it is warmer more water vapour and cold less. Some of the water vapour in the cold air high in the sky just cannot stay as a gas, and condenses into liquid water droplets. The amount of precipitation that falls every year is different all around the world, in deserts it may only one inch per year while on mountains it could rain more than 600 inches per year. After precipitation the water goes into the ground and is called runoff and groundwater.

Next runoff is nothing but water running off the surface and groundwater is nothing but water under the ground. Even though some rainfall soaks into the ground, most of it flows over the lands surface. Runoff is where the water goes on the ground or under to go into the rivers lakes and the ocean. Water below your feet is moving all the time, water underground moves due to gravity, downwards and sideways.

Overall you need these five steps evaporation, condensation, precipitation, groundwater and runoff. The water is recycled so if some of the steps didn't happen like precipitation we might not be alive right now.

I can recognise and understand a variety of grammatical constructions and some rhetorical patterns

In this unit I have been learning about:
  • The parts of speech.
  • The types of nouns.
  • The types of sentences.

In this unit, I found challenging learning all the different nouns.

Something new I learnt was how to identify the different types of nouns.

I can apply my knowledge of adverbial clauses and connectives to seehow ideas are linked in text.

In this activity Activity , I had to highlight which part of the sentenence was an adverbial clause.

Peer Mediation Excellence #10

On Friday I had Peer Mediation with Maddy there were no problems again which is still good.
Firstly we went around the the filed because there are always alot of people on it so just to make sure there weren't any problems.
Secondly  we walked though the jumior area and sandpit because the juniors sometimes have problems about someone pushing them or something.
Then we when around the classrooms to see what people were doing and make sure they where in the right place.

I showed respect by not walking through peoples games so that I don't interrupt them.

I was also showing integrity by not just letting maddy do all the work.

Getting Involved #2

Yesterday I got involved at morning tea by playing doctor pus with my friends. Firstly, we did 21 to see who was in. Secondly the tagger turned around and we chose a doctor and they can save people who have been tagged.
Next we played until the doctor was tagged and then the first person who got tagged was in next round. We only played in the middle third of the netball court because there weren't that many of us. Then when we had done a few rounds we decided to do some rounds of normal octopus instead. When we played that we did the same rules but there wasn't a doctor so it was harder because we couldn't get saved once we were tagged.

I showed  community by letting people  join in our game when they ask us if they could.

I also was showing integrity by playing fairly and being honest.
